Since I learned how to fully utilise the internet from a stupidly young age, I have always been interested in various aspects of websites; how they look, how they function, and how much information I could gain from using them. I built my first Geocities website when I was around this age.
It was terrible. I took the novelty of animated .GIF's way too far.
I completed my GCSE's at an all girls private school, during which time I had a lot of fun in the ICT suites downloading MP3's and Movies onto my user account and playing around with command prompt. I found the simple 'Net send' command particularly fun. I showed the school's admin how to use this VERY basic command when I was 12 years old. I had to - they banned me from using the computers until I did. Clearly the term 'Google it' wasn't used widely enough for them to do so.
When I turned 14 the craze was all about Myspace and therefore HTML. At the time, people weren't too interested in it, but with the help of a friend online I managed to embed an MP3 onto my profile page, and change a few text colours.
A year or so later I began to further mess around with tools such as Anonymous proxy servers, as most schools and colleges had begun to block various social networking mediums like Myspace and of course, Facebook. I began to pickup some simple HTML principles, as well as the odd CSS scrollbars and such.
Other than learning how to hack XBOX 360 achievements, It wasn't really until I started my current job that I really appreciated design and such. My job role covers Logo design, Business stationary, Web design, Advert design and various other types of Marketing Literature. Most of my portfolio will have come from here. Other publications I have created will have been born from the occasional experimental Sunday afternoon.
